Blemil plus LF is an infant formula suitable for situations that require a lactose-free diet. It fully meets the needs of infants from birth until 6 months of age as a unique feeding and during introduction of complementary feeding as a part of a diet progressive diversified.
Blemil plus LF contains dextrinomaltose as the only source of carbohydrates, ensuring maximum digestibility and tolerance, and includes prebiotics and nucleotides in its composition, nutrients present in breast milk that stimulate the growth of a healthy intestinal flora and aid in the prevention of gastrointestinal infections.

Proteins:
- Whey/casein proteins ratio (60/40), similar to that of breast milk.
- Enriched with nucleotides, compounds of extreme importance in the development and maturation of the digestive and immune response systems. - Carbohydrates:
- Hydrocarbon fraction is composed of 100% dextrinomaltose, to ensure good digestibility and correct osmolarity. It contains no lactose or sucrose.
- Fats:
- Contains LC-PUFAs ω-3 and ω-6 (DHA and AA), which are necessary for the proper development of the central nervous system and the visual function, and are involved in modulating the infant immune system.
- Prebiotics (FOS), which stimulate the growth of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria and generate an acidic pH that inhibits the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria – responsible for most cases of diarrhoea – to the intestine. It also increases the absorption of minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron.
- Taurine and L-carnitine, nutrients essential for fatty acids metabolism and energy production. Additionally, they are important for Central Nervous System and visual function maturation as well as brain structures development.
- Vitamins and minerals: Contains vitamins and minerals that cover the meet the nutritional requirements of infants. It is especially rich in calcium and vitamin D.
- Zinc helps reduce the incidence and duration of diarrhea, as it contributes to tissue repair and stimulates the immune system.
Instructions
Blemil plus LF is recommended from birth until 6 months of age as a unique feeding and during introduction of complementary feeding as a part of a diet progressive diversified in the following cases:
- Congenital and primary or secondary lactose intolerance
- Refeeding following acute gastroenteritis and chronic diarrhoea
- Early reintroduction of food during gastrointestinal disorders
- Carbohydrate malabsorption
Blemil plus LF is a dietary food product intended for special medical purposes, and should, therefore, be used under medical supervision.
Breast milk is the best food for infants during the first months of life. When breastfeeding is not possible, health professionals must recommend the most appropriate alternative.
Dosage
Blemil plus LF is prepared in a mixture of 4.7 g to 30 ml of water. Unless otherwise indicated, use the following recommended dosage:
