Blemil plus 2 Extra is a follow-on formula for infants prone to constipation that fully meets the nutritional needs of infants during introduction of complementary feeding as a part of a diet progressive diversified. 

Thanks to its special formulation enriched with β-palmitate, prebiotics, LC-PUFAs ω-3 and ω-6, nucleotides, and magnesium, Blemil plus 2 Extra is effective against constipation by increasing stool frequency, decreasing stool consistency and reducing the accompanying symptoms. 

 
Blemil plus 2 Extra contains:  

• 45% palmitic acid in the ß position (β-palmitate), effective in facilitating greater absorption of fat fraction, calcium and magnesium of infant formula, minimizing the formation of calcium soaps in the intestine, compounds responsible for feces dehydration causing hard stools and thus constipation. 

• Long and short chain fructooligosaccharides, which contribute to the maturation of the digestive system and the regulation of intestinal transit. They also modulate the immune system and have a bifidogenic effect in the intestine, preventing the growth of pathogenic bacteria and the development of infections.  

• LC-PUFAs ω-3 and ω-6 (DHA and AA), which contribute to reducing the consistency of stools. 

• Nucleotides, which are involved in the development and maturation of the digestive and immune systems and contribute to regulating intestinal transit. 

• Magnesium, which absorbs water in the bowels, hydrating and softening the stool, and thus increasing bowel movements. 

Besides helping prevention and treatment of constipation, Blemil plus 2 Extra provides nutrients that ensure the proper development and growth of the infant: 

• Proteins: Whey/casein proteins ratio (60/40) close to breast milk. 

• Carbohydrates: Contains an excellent combination of lactose and maltodextrin, ensuring the digestibility of the formula.

• Fats: In addition to its anti-constipation effect, LC-PUFAs ω-3 and ω-6 (DHA and AA) play a key role in the development of brain structures and retina.

• Taurine and L-carnitine, nutrients essential for fatty acids metabolism and energy production. Additionally, they are important for Central Nervous System and visual function maturation as well as brain structures development.

• Vitamins and minerals: Contains vitamins and minerals that cover the meet the nutritional requirements of infants, including zinc (related with optimal functioning of natural defenses and growth) as well as selenium and vitamin E, powerful antioxidant.
